About the Owner
Amecie Lublin is a dedicated choreographer, teacher, and performing artist whose passion for dance has shaped an inspiring career from an early age. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with an emphasis in Choreography and a minor in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. A testament to her unique blend of artistic vision and academic curiosity.
Amecie’s journey began at age four at Southern California Ballet, where she trained rigorously in the Cecchetti Ballet Method, completing examinations from Grades 3 through 10 under the guidance of esteemed mentors including Sylvia Palmer-Zetler, Martha Leebolt, and Tobias Batley. Her performance repertoire spans beloved classics such as The Nutcracker, Coppélia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Peter and the Wolf, and Sleeping Beauty. Rising through the ranks, Amecie progressed from the SCB Academy to the SCB Pre-Professional Dance Company, performing with dedication and artistry across the country at venues including Marin Dance Theatre, CalArts, and the University of Utah. Notably, she worked under renowned choreographer Gregory Dawson, performing a featured pas de deux and corps de ballet pieces.
As a choreographer, Amecie has presented original works at UCI, including Diamonds a
Dozen — her first ballet selected for the university’s annual Barebones showcase — Splash, a contemporary ballet featured in Physical Graffiti Online, and When the Plot Thickens, which premiered at her BFA Senior Thesis Concert, A Subtle Paradox.
Equally passionate about nurturing the next generation of dancers, Amecie began teaching at Southern California Ballet before graduating high school. She went on to work with Shining Stars, an outreach program dedicated to bringing dance and educational opportunities to children, where she taught ballet during the 2019 summer program. In 2022, she joined the staff at OC Musica as a dance instructor and later stepped into the role of Director of Dance, growing the program and inspiring students through her creative leadership. Today, Amecie proudly serves as the owner of Garden Dance Centre, where she continues to share her love of dance and dedication to cultivating artistry, confidence, and community.
With a commitment to storytelling, technical excellence, and mentorship, Amecie continues to inspire, one step, student, and stage at a time.
